This election isn’t about choosing one person; it’s about choosing the right two.  Two Supervisors that will work closely with current Board Chair, Harley Pothoff.  I am one of those two.

I have spent 15 years in public service, as a council member, mayor, county supervisor, and state legislator and for 30 years I’ve led our region’s economic development initiatives.  I know that progress comes from collaboration, respect, and focusing on solutions vs. differences.  You don’t hear this often in partisan politics, but I look forward to the opportunity to work with Republican, Harley Potoff.  He is a good man and a fine Supervisor.

Working together we will chart a new course for our county and its people, both of which I love.  I’m running to restore professionalism to the Board of Supervisors and to make sure we’re focusing on what really matters.  That means delivering results for everyone in our county and every community, large and small, backing our farming community, supporting our workforce and their employers and planning responsibly for the future. Simply put, I’m running to help the Board of Supervisors function the way it should – thoughtfully, respectfully and effectively.

I am not starting a career in public service – I’m completing one.  In the next 4 years I will use everything I have learned in my life to serve the people of Dubuque County.  We have two seats on the Board, up for election, but only one opportunity to get it right.
